Welcome to Affair with Color!
I’m so excited to share this next chapter of my blogging experience, I have so many ideas and goals for this blog! For those of you who have followed me over from my old blog Ooh La La you already know that I’ve been blogging for a few years now and that I’ve decided to get more serious with my blogging. This blog is about color (obviously) and interior design. For those of you who are new I’m looking forward to meeting you and I hope you enjoy reading and following my blog as much as I love making it. So what will you be seeing here at Affair with Color? Well, I will be doing a lot of what I did on my old blog such as:
- Tips and advice
- Room critiques
- My latest projects
- Design ideas
- Cake creations (I recently took cake decorating classes)
- New dinner recipes
- Inspirational and design quotes
- My 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and their adventures
- and a little about my personal life
I also have some new and exciting ideas that I think will really help you with your interior design decisions like:
- A whole section on color theory, color schemes and how to choose color for you home- I’m really excited to get this one up and running
- A design advice feature where you can email me with your design problems and I will answer in a post with possible solutions
- Project Spotlights- I would love to see all of your creations, email me photos and I’ll share them here!
- Whole house photos and floorplans
- A new project format that makes it easier for you to see the how a project was done, kind of like a tutorial
- And more as I get further into this website!
There is quite the learning curve so bear with me as we experience some growing pains. This sight is still a work in progress so as I implement these new ideas and features I will let you know and hopefully everything works the way we planned. I imported all my posts from my old blog and I’ve gone through quite a few of them but if you find one that is poorly formatted or images galleries that aren’t working correctly please let me know. I also want to take a quick second to thank my husband for all the hours and late nights we spent together getting this new site up and working! WordPress is a bit trickier than blogger and I would never have had the patience to figure it all out on my own. This blog is just as much his as it is mine, it’s just that he’s the behind the scenes guy who makes what I want happen. He’s also very patient as I have gotten very frustrated with limitations or changes that I didn’t want to deal with! Thanks babe.

The blog looks absolutely fantastic. And you really ought to come over to the house some time to give us some interior design advice. We really need it.
Thanks, we listened to Ask Adam last night and had a good laugh. Adam has quite a tongue and opinion, he knows how to keep you on topic too! lol. Invite us over and feed us and I’ll probably give you design advice!
